The Hybrid Campaign: Why the Future Combines Celebrities and Creators

The Hybrid Campaign: Why the Future Combines Celebrities and Creators

Brands often ask whether they should work with a celebrity or with creators. Looking ahead, we believe the question will increasingly be how to combine them – in one coordinated campaign.

Two roles in one campaign

  • Celebrities create attention, recognition and a story people talk about.

  • Creators bring closeness to niche communities and a steady flow of native content.

How it works in practice

The “Coca-Cola Loves Tacos” activation is a good example of well-known faces working together. Collabri managed negotiations and project coordination for Pernilla Wahlgren & Sofia Wistam, Carolina Gynning & Carina Berg, and Mia Skäringer & Sanna Persson. The campaign reached over 4.5 million views and 6,300 interactions. For Protein.com, Collabri combines celebrity endorsements with creator collaborations and creates content for both organic channels and paid media.

Why we think the hybrid model will grow

Media consumption is spread across more platforms and communities than ever. A single face rarely reaches everyone, and many small voices rarely create a big moment. Together, they cover both.

Three tips for a hybrid campaign

  • Give the celebrity the central story and let creators interpret it in their own way.

  • Plan the timing so creator content builds on the celebrity moment.

  • Use the best-performing content in paid media to scale the campaign.
